Nissan has issued a recall for 11,601 units of the Micra and the Sunny. Under this campaign, the company will work on the issues regarding push button start, driver airbag and the brake master cylinder of the concerned vehicles.
The first issue is related to the engine push button start, which will be reworked by the Nissan technicians to avoid an excessive interference condition. The other concern raised is by the airbag supplier Takata from May 2010 to July 2012. The automaker says that no incidents have been reported as yet, but it wants to do the checks to ensure that there are no future incidents.
The third check is for the brake master brake cylinder in a specific range of Micra and Sunny models produced from June 2012 to March 2013. The company has identified a potential defect during its ongoing quality monitoring procedure and wants to get this rectified.
Nissan will inform the concerned consumers for the recall of the specific vehicles and get the issues resolved at no extra cost to the customer. The recalls will start soon and dealerships will contact the consumers to make the necessary changes and replacements.
