Nissan India has introduced a special edition of the Micra called the Primo. Inspired by the Micra’s Indian brand ambassador Ranbir Kapoor, the Primo follows the same ethos as the Micra Elle edition (made in collaboration with the woman’s magazine) which was released in the UK a few months ago.
The Micra Primo while remaining the same car underneath the hood (1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines) has been cosmetically enhanced both on the inside and the outside. It is available in two variants; XL and XV.
Changes to both variants include decals on the sides, LED lamps on the OVRMs; audio- based parking sensors and a two DIN music system. The Primo XL and XV variant come with all the features of the regular Micra XL and XV.
The car will only be available in a single colour for the diesel and petrol variants; pearl white and will retail at Rs 5.82 lakh for the XL (ex-showroom Maharashtra) and Rs 6.57 lakh for the XV (ex-showroom Maharashtra). It is likely that Nissan has introduced this model to garner higher volumes during the upcoming festive season.
