Nissan India will launch the 2017 version of the Micra on June 2. The company has recently released a teaser image of the facelifted Micra on its social media channels.
The teaser image says ‘It can sense rain’. This text is a clear give-away that the updated Micra will be equipped with rain sensing wipers. The company has taken this marketing approach as the monsoon is expected to begin in the next few days. Nissan hasn’t revealed anything else yet, but we’re expecting features like infotainment system with touchscreen capability and parking cameras and sensors to make its way to the updated Micra.
Being a facelift, the Micra would get a few cosmetic changes too. The fascia could see some minor enhancements and the rear too. On the inside, expect a new upholstery to improve the overall experience. In terms of mechanicals, the 2017 Micra will continue to get the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. Both these motors are mated a five-speed manual gearbox. The petrol models also comes with a CVT unit. We’re expecting a marginal increase in price over the current model.
