- First Nissan Global Digital Hub opened in Trivandrum
- First-of-its-kind software and information technology development centers
- Designed to drive digital transformation for Nissan's business
Nissan India recently started operations of their first global digital hub at Technopark in Trivandrum. It will serve as an important engine to drive the carmaker’s global digital transformation.
This new facility is located in Kerala’s IT hub, Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram and was inaugurated by the chief minister of Kerala, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan. This development centre is the first of its kind in Asia, North America, Europe and Latin America. It will place digital technology at the heart of key operations and services to drive digital transformation.
Additionally, the hub will also allow Nissan to provide product development capabilities, best-in-class user experiences, application portfolio management, data science, cyber security and connectivity. This becomes imperative with the automotive industry evolving with the growing use of autonomous, connected and electric vehicle technology.
Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu, Ambassador of Japan to India also welcomed Nissan's move of inaugurating this hub. He said that Japan-India relations have never been as strong as they are today based on the trust between our two prime ministers. Both governments agreed on this digital partnership and the cooperation in the field of IT during Prime Minister Modi's visit to Japan in October. The establishment of this digital hub should take advantage of India's high-level IT talents. Furthermore, this partnership will also help to drive forward the future of innovation, technology collaboration and talent sharing between two nations.
