Nissan has hinted that it is looking to introduce the Leaf 2 EV in India. The Japanese automaker has said that it is planning on introducing the vehicle in this financial year and will get it homologated. The car was unveiled in September and is currently one of the top selling electric vehicles in the world.
We have already spoken in detail about the car when it was unveiled and you can read about that here. The car is expected to come here via the CBU route and so is expected to be priced high and will be an aspirational product rather than volumes.
With a growing interest in EVs and hybrids, The Indian car market will be one of those to jump on the bandwagon when the time comes and with cars like the Leaf 2, Nissan looks like it's preparing for the road ahead.
