After much hype and anticipation, the Nissan Terrano has finally arrived and now bookings (unofficial) for the car are open at various Nissan dealers. Competing in the compact SUV segment, the Terrano will commence deliveries on the 10th of October and you can place your order at a booking amount of Rs 1,00,000.
Our enquiries have revealed that the car will be priced at around Rs 8.5-9 lakh for the entry level variant. The mid-range model will be available at around Rs 10 lakh, while the top of the line diesel Terrano will cost around Rs 13-14 lakh and will feature leather seats, fog lamps and 16-inch alloy wheels as standard. That will position the Terrano at around Rs one lakh above its Renault sibling and it will be interesting to see what features apart from the leather seats and premium finish the car will house to justify the expense. Dealers have also confirmed that a 4X4 option will not feature on any of the variants.
We know everything about the car, right from its engine options to the way it looks. But with the news of approximate pricing and delivery dates it is quite clear that Nissan will brand the Terrano as a more premium offering compared to the Duster.
