Nissan has released a second teaser for its Z-badged GrizpZ crossover ahead of its official debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. This is the first all-new Z car in quite a while and is also the first time that the legendary performance badge will be placed on a non-coupe body style.
The rationale behind the name GripZ name is a tribute the 240Z desert race cars of the 1960s and 1970s that rode on modified suspensions and big tyres. The heritage definitely seems to be there as we can see a wide stance and high ground clearance. Modern Nissan design elements include the V-shaped badge and full LED headlights.
Nissan is not expected to produce a car larger than the 370Z and coupled with the growing popularity of crossovers, this seems like a step in the right direction. It also seems likely that the vehicle is a preview of the next generation Juke. The car will be unveiled on the first day of the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and we will update you with the details soon enough.
