Nissan has kick-started its complimentary car service campaign called ‘Happy With Nissan’ Phase 1 of which began on May 9 and will continue till May 18. The Japanese manufacturer has set up camps at 66 Nissan authorised service centres in 54 cities where the owner will be able to avail a free check up of his car.
The check-up camp will have the car washed and thoroughly diagnosed by a Nissan personnel who will also help the customer resolve other issues with the car. Customers attending the camp will be eligible for a 20 per cent discount on labour charges and upto 20 per cent off on Nissan genuine accessories. Customers whose cars are currently in the warranty period will also be able to avail upto 20 per cent off.
Speaking about this initiative, Mr Kenichiro Yomura, President, Nissan India Operations said, “We want to create a service environment that our customers can trust, be comfortable and feel proud of being associated with the Nissan brand. We are consciously working towards optimizing our after-sales service operations so that service wait time and costs can be kept to a minimum. This is one of our key priorities for this year.”
Besides the free diagnosis and the discounts, owners attending the camp will also be able win car care products, movie tickets, shopping vouchers and other gifts through lucky draws. Since taking over full responsibility for the sales, marketing and distribution of all Nissan branded vehicles and parts, Nissan India has been rolling out a number of customer outreach programs. Programs like 60 minute express service, mobile service vans and the recently launched after-sales Parts Distribution Centre have all been targeting a better after-sales experience for the customer. Nissan has been returning better sales figures as compared to previous year, but it remains to be seen whether these programs will help Nissan transform its image and how will they affect the company’s sales numbers.
