-Eighth generation for the iconic coupe
-First time the Corvette will be mid-engined
-V8 power
One of the world’s most iconic sports car will enter its eighth generation tomorrow. The Chevrolet Corvette has been around since the 1950s and this eighth generation will be its most significant update as it will also be offered as a mid-engine model for the first.
It has been spied so many times that we already know what the car will look like when it is unveiled tomorrow. We now also know that it will retain its signature V8 engine as well as the Stingray moniker which it revived for the seventh generation car that was launched in 2014.
The mid-engine nature of this new Corvette will enable it to enter new segments, new markets and will also offer a new driving experience for those buying the car.
This car is expected to cost significantly higher than the outgoing model, given how much it has changed from the outgoing generation.
