Volvo has started testing the next-generation XC60, which should debut next year. Ahead of official communication from the Swedish carmaker, we bring you the rendering of the Audi Q5, Mercedes GLC and the BMW X3 competitor.
The new XC60 will use Volvo’s latest design philosophy with the hammer-shaped DRLs and vertical slat grille. In flesh, the next-gen XC60 is expected to look like the smaller version of the recently launched XC90, but the seven-seater SUV itself looks so great that we are definitely not complaining.
The car should also have the new Volvo interior with more premium design and the touch screen infotainment system. Like rest of the Volvos, it will get a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engine options, along with at least a couple of hybrid options following the new strategy.
Volvo should unveil the new XC60 by middle of 2017 with the launch in European markets by the end of the year. As for India, chances of us seeing it before 2018 are slim.
