-Styling will be based on the e-SIV concept seen in 2018
-Engines will be borrowed from the Tivoli with an electric in the offing too
Ssangyong has teased the next-gen Korando SUV with the car all-set to debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Visually it looks pretty similar to the e-SIV SUV concept that was previewed in 2018 with the large front grille and the swept-back headlights.
Powering the car will be a range of engines which include 1.5 and 1.2-litre petrol units that will also get mild-hybrid technology. A sole 1.6-litre oil-burner will complete the diesel line-up. A fully electric version of the Korando is also expected by 2020. The new Korando will be based on a modified Tivoli platform and will be a five seater.
While Mahindra is all-set to launch the XUV 3OO which is the Indian version of the Tivoli, there could be a market for the Korando in India sitting between the XUV 5OO and the Alturas G4. Keep watching this space for more.
