- Fourth generation Octavia spied for the first time
- Will ditch the split headlamps in favour of single piece units
The next generation Skoda Octavia has been spotted testing for the first time. Spy images of a test-mule spotted in Czech Republic have been shared on the web. The model seems to be completely undisguised, although a closer look reveals body coloured camouflage hiding the design elements.
Up-front, the new generation Skoda Octavia will receive single piece headlamps that will replace the split design units in the current generation model. Another highlight of the model are the DRLs which have been integrated into the headlamp cluster. At the rear, the model features a split tail light design, windshield wiper and a shark-fin antenna. The dual tone bumper features a chrome strip and reflectors. Reports suggest that the Skoda logo could make way for the Skoda lettering.
Details regarding the engine specifications of the upcoming generation Skoda Octavia are not available at the moment. It is believed that Skoda will first launch the next-generation Octavia estate variant, which will be followed by the launch of the notchback variant. We can expect the fourth-generation Skoda Octavia to be unveiled in 2020.
