The next-generation Mahindra Thar has been spotted testing once again, revealing new details about the model. The model is expected to make its debut at the 2020 Auto Expo in Delhi, followed by a launch later in the year.
New spy images shared on the web reveal crucial details of the new-gen Mahindra Thar including the 4x4 transfer case and the side facing seats in the second row. The power window buttons are positioned next to the handbrake.
Exterior highlights of the 2020 Mahindra Thar include a completely new design, wide fenders with integrated turn indicators, LED tail lights, new alloy wheels and a soft-top. A factory-fitted hard-top is also expected to be available as standard. Inside, the model is expected to be equipped with a new dashboard, new centre console, fabric seats as well as front-facing seats.
Propelling the all-new Mahindra Thar will be a BS-VI compliant 2.0-litre diesel engine that will replace the 2.5-litre CRDe motor in the outgoing model. Safety features on the model will include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt reminder, speed alert system and rear parking sensors.
