Next-gen Jeep Wrangler spotted testing in India
-Â Â Â Three-door and five-door models spied testing
-Â Â Â Likely to be launched in India in Q3 2019.
The next-generation Jeep Wrangler was spotted testing in India. Spy images shared on the web reveal two body styles of the upcoming Wrangler, a short wheelbase model and a long-wheelbase model. The test-mules are wrapped in military camouflage wrap, unlike most test mules that have a white camouflage wrap.
As seen in the spy images, the new generation Wrangler will feature the signature seven slat grille upfront, circular headlamps, and wheel arch mounted DRL’s and turn indicators. Towards the rear, both the five-door model as well as the three-door model feature a door-mounted spare tyre.
Inside, the upcoming Jeep Wrangler will retain most of the features as seen in the international-spec model. A few feature highlights include an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system, push-button start, 7-inch TFT LED display, TPMS and a tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel.Â
Globally, the next-generation Jeep Wrangler is offered with four engine options. These include a 3.6-litre V6 petrol motor, 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel motor, 3.0-litre V6 diesel motor and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol motor. Transmission options include a six-speed manual unit and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The next-generation Wrangler is expected to be launched in India in Q3 2019.
