- New-gen Xcent spotted with Grand i10 Nios’ fascia
- Expected to be launched early next year
The upcoming new generation Hyundai Xcent has been spied once again. New spy images of the car, taken in Bangalore, reveal two test-mules of the model, giving away a few details regarding the design of the fascia.
As seen in the images, the next-gen Hyundai Xcent features a front design similar to that of the Grand i10 Nios. The test-mules feature the signature cascade grille design with integrated boomerang-shaped DRLS on the sides, triangular fog lamp housings and headlamps borrowed from the Grand i10 Nios.
The interiors of the second generation Hyundai Xcent have been previously spied, and the model featured leather upholstery, revised touchscreen infotainment system, adjustable headrests for the second row and steering mounted controls.
Powertrain options on the new Hyundai Xcent could include a BS-VI compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.2-litre diesel engine. Transmission options are expected to include a five-speed manual gearbox and an AMT unit. Once launched, the next-gen Xcent will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Volkswagen Ameo and the Honda Amaze.
