- New digital instrument panel likely to be borrowed from new Creta
- Next-gen Elite i20 expected to receive BlueLink connectivity
New details of the third generation Hyundai Elite i20 have emerged on the web. The model will reportedly come equipped with a segment-first fully digital instrument cluster. This digital unit is likely to be borrowed from the new-generation Creta (ix25).
The new digital instrument console in the 2020 Hyundai Elite i20 will feature a dual pod unit, one for the tachometer and speedometer each and a MID unit positioned in the centre. It remains unknown at the moment if the new instrument panel will be offered in all trims or exclusively with the top-end trim.
A few other notable features on the upcoming generation of the Hyundai Elite i20 could include a larger touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, wireless charging and a sunroof. Another highlight of the new Elite i20 will include BlueLink connectivity, which was introduced with the launch of the Venue.
Engine options on the next-gen Hyundai Elite i20 are expected to include a BS-VI compliant 1.2-litre petrol unit and a de-tuned version of the 1.5-litre diesel unit from Kia. Also on offer could be a 1.0-litre, turbo-petrol unit paired to a DCT transmission. Once launched, the third-gen Elite i20 will rival against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the Honda Jazz.
