Porsche has been actively testing the next 911. Prototypes of this iconic sports car have been spotted undergoing cold weather testing in Northern Scandinavia.
The existing 911 was updated in 2015 at a time when Porsche unleashed its new range of turbocharged engines. This generation, however, was introduced back in 2011.
The next 911 is expected to be based around a modular platform that will allow more variety of engines to come into picture. These will also include a hybrid powertrain which will be a first for the 911. Porsche is expected to unveil the new 911 range in the first half of next year. Naturally, the new 911 will spawn hardcore GT3, GT3 RS and Turbo models as well.
