The new hatchback is expected to be based on a brand new platform. The proportions will be larger than the outgoing i20. The changes are more than just small revisions to the current car.
The cabin will also boast of new components with 2-DIN music system and all the connectivity options. The audio controls will be mounted on the steering. The gauges of the car will also be revised and the car will be equipped with climate control.
The new i20 will be made available in both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol trim will be powered by the 1.2-litre Kappa2 engine while the diesel trim will be equipped with the 1.4-litre CRDI unit.
