The next generation Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV has been leaked ahead of its official debut at the 2018 Detroit Motor Show later this month. It has, as expected, retained its decades-old boxy looks but with the latest Mercedes design elements to bring it into the modern age.
Simply put, take the G-Class boxy design add in the latest Merc headlights, grille, bumpers and tail lamps and voila! You have the 2019 G-Class. It still looks imposing and has grown in proportions but with sports revised suspensions setups (front and rear), nine-speed AT as well as other hardcore off road tweaks to ensure the car continues to live up to its legendary predecessors.
The G-Class has picked up what appears to be the E-Class’ cabin but with a few ‘G’ specific touches to give it its individuality. There is no word yet on the powertrains but we can sure it will the new crop of straight-six petrol and diesel motors as well as the 4.4-litre V8 for the G63 and G65.
