Ahead of its debut in the Indian car market, the top-of-the-line Maruti Wagon R ZXi AMT variant has been spied at a dealership yard. This is the first time that Maruti Suzuki is introducing a ZXi variant for its iconic tallboy and it will only be offered with the 1.2-litre K-Series engine.
This new top spec model gets a beige and black setup with the main highlights of the interiors being a touchscreen infotainment system and steering mounted audio controls. Also new in the next gen Wagon R is the steering wheel and central AC vent.
There’s 10 variants for the new Wagon R and two engine options- a 1.0-litre petrol and a 1.2-litre petrol (which is what this car has). It will be launched in first quarter of this year and will take on the likes of the Hyundai Santro, Maruti Celerio, Tata Tiago and the Datsun Go+.
