The next generation Land Rover Discovery will make its debut in India tomorrow as the automaker will announce its prices. The car will be offered in India in five petrol and diesel variants and across multiple colour options.
Unveiled in 2016, this third generation Discovery is the biggest update for the vehicle since it was launched in 1989 This new generation ditches the square lines of the previous models and has now embraced the curvy lines of the latest Land Rover design. It’s a similar story in the cabin and you can see many of the elements from the common LR parts bin like the steering wheel, infotainment system as well as switches and controls.
The car will be offered with a 3.0-litre diesel and petrol engine. The former produces 254bhp/600Nm while the latter is good for 335bhp/450Nm. Both will get ZF automatic gearboxes as standard. Depending on the variant, you get a low range gearbox, locking differentials, terrain response system and air suspension. At the time of being launched, the car will be offered in eight standard petrol and diesel variants as well as two First Editions.
We believe that Land Rover will price the car in the range of Rs 72 lakhs to Rs 90 lakhs for the fully loaded and possibly limited production First Edition.Â
