- Will be launched in this financial year
- Second generation for German automaker’s entry-level crossover
- New design language and engine options
- Will spawn an RS model
The next generation India-bound Audi Q3 has been rendered ahead of its debut in this financial year. It’s the second generation for the German automaker’s crossover and with this model will move fully to the latest generation MQB platform.
The rendering indicates that the new car will be longer and wider with the latest Audi design language. Highlights of this language include a bigger face, sleeker tail lamps and sharp lines as compared to the outgoing model. The increased proportions give the car a wider and more purposeful stance.
This new Q3 is expected to be offered with a wider range of petrol engines but with a smaller range of diesel motors as compared to the outgoing model. Over the course of its life cycle, we can expect that Audi will introduce a performance model (RSQ3), a hybrid and at least one full electric model for the range.
Like we’ve said in the beginning, this car is India-bound and will be introduced here through the CKD route via assembly at their Aurangabad facility. When launched it will put up the fight to the likes of the BMW X1, Volvo XC40, Mercedes-Benz GLA and possibly even the Jaguar E-Pace when it is launched here.
