- Expected to arrive in India in 2026
- Will get diesel and petrol power
Jeep has revealed its first-ever teaser for the next-generation Compass SUV. The automaker has officially said that production of the car will begin at its Italy plant in Melfi in 2025 before moving on to other production locations in 2026.
The teaser reveals the profile of the next-gen Compass, which at first glance appears to be longer than the current model. Also visible in the pictures are squared-off wheel arches, floating roofline, and wrap-around headlamps and taillamps. If the Compass does become longer, then that means the next-gen Meridian will also have an increased length than the current car.
India is the RHD production hub for the Compass and thus, we are expected to be one of the first to get the new-gen car when it launches globally in 2026. It is expected to have both petrol and diesel power and an upgraded feature list.
Rivals are expected to include the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and the Tata Harrier but also mid-level versions of the Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, and the Tata Safari.
