Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch the next generation E-Class at the Detroit Auto show on 11 January, 2016. Mercedes-Benz have officially revealed the interior, and have now released footage of the E-Class undergoing testing.
The video features the new tenth-generation E-Class being put through its paces in extreme temperatures. There is mention of how the car had 1,200 prototypes and took 48 months of development time. Also, the video states the autonomous braking and lane switching feature being tested numerous times. The E-Class has also undergone testing of a total of 12 lakh kilometres.
There have been many spy-shots of the car going undergoing testing, but have always been spotted heavily camouflaged. The next-generation E-Class will replace the current model that has been around for nearly five years.
We can expect Mercedes-Benz India to prioritize over the launch of the new E-Class, as it is a top-seller in its segment in India. The E-Class coupe was also spotted testing recently, which will be next in line after the launch of the sedan.
