- Second-generation Kodiaq
- Will be launched in India by the end of this financial year
The second-gen Skoda Kodiaq has been spied on a test in India once again. In fact, it’s almost certain that this is the same car we saw in our previous story but this time around, we have managed to get some static images giving us a better idea of what we can expect.
The test car has been painted in a shade of white with special aerodynamic spats for the wheels. You can also see more of the new design language the likes of which include the larger face, forward sloping roof line and the connected tail lamps.
Inside, the new Kodiaq will share its cabin with the new Superb. This is a minimalist design with dual digital screens and a smaller number of buttons as compared to the previous-generation model. It’d also grown across the dimension scale and offers more space inside that first-gen car.
The Kodiaq will only be offered with petrol power when is launched in India, the engine in this case being the VW groups 2.0-litre TSI petrol mated to an eight-speed AT along with select on-demand AWD. Rivals for the car include the MG Gloster,Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu MU-X and the Volkswagen Tiguan.
