Ford has made quite a few high-performance versions of the Focus in the past. The previous ST and RS models, in fact, have been such big hits in Europe that enthusiasts are now hooked onto the news when Ford announces a new version of the Focus (shown here).
Now that the all-new Focus is out, details about the high-performance RS version are starting to emerge. According to Auto Motor and Sport from Sweden, the upcoming Focus RS will be launched next year in Europe.
Powering this hot version is Ford’s 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine seen recently on the all-new Mustang. Putting out 305bhp in the latter, Ford is likely to retune the engine to produce close to 330bhp for the new Focus RS. Ford is expected to showcase the new Focus RS at this year’s Paris Motor Show in October.
