According to a recent report by Car Magazine UK, the next-gen BMW 3 series, codenamed G20, will be a better all-rounder than ever, with a modern yet functional design, more efficient engines and better performance than the current F30 generation 3 Series.
As for the high-performance M3, the four-door sports sedan will get a straight six engine featuring e-chargers and water injection for a total output of 500bhp. The M4 coupe will get the same set up as the four door M3. The regular 3 Series line up, meanwhile; will get a range of three and four-cylinder petrol and diesel engine options. Additionally, there will be six cylinders for the sportier models.
The next-gen 3 Series will compete with the new Mercedes C-Class, Jaguar XE and the forthcoming B9 generation Audi A4. Until then, BMW will continue with the recently facelifted 3 Series with refreshed styling and new engine options.
