German automaker Audi has been extensively testing its upcoming second generation Q5 around the world. This time around the next generation model has been spotted testing in Mumbai. As revealed in images, the new generation model will get fresh cosmetic upgrades. Moreover, the new model will host fresh mechanical upgrades and will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options.
In Europe, the Audi Q5 test mule was spotted with chrome lining on the glass area and also had body wide chrome strip. The recent test mule in India has been camouflaged on the front and rear section thereby indicating the possibility of a body wide chrome strip being offered. However, the chrome lining on the glass area seems to be clearly missing on this particular test mule. The front section is expected to feature one of Audi’s modern grille design and projector headlamps. As for the rear, it will get new sharp C-shaped LED taillights.
For the interior, the second generation Audi Q5 is expected to be offered with better space for occupants and improved upholstery for a newer feel. As for safety, the vehicle will come loaded with all modern safety equipment and is expected to compete against the likes of the BMW X3, Jaguar F-Pace and the Mercedes-Benz GLE. Its India launch is expected in a few months post the car's international debut.
