- New-Gen Porsche Cayenne Turbo will be launched later this month
- More variants like base petrol, diesel and hybrid will be launched by end of 2018
Porsche has brought the new-gen Cayenne to India and this one is the entry-level petrol. While the first new-gen Cayenne to be launched in India is the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 Turbo, this one gets a 3.0-litre V6 petrol.
The Cayenne Turbo is expected to be launched later this month while the petrol car shown in the pictures will be launched later this year. It is also said that the Cayenne Hybrid is expected to arrive in India by September. The Cayenne diesel rings in the highest numbers for the Porsche SUV and should ideally be launched by the end of 2018 if not before the hybrid.
The new-gen Porsche Cayenne has been built on a new platform which has helped it reduce weight and at the same time improved the chassis dynamics. The new set of engines have also been designed to match the latest emission standards and employ the 48V mild-hybrid electrical architecture. All Porsches are CBUs in India and the new petrol model might have been brought in early for homologation purposes.
