Volvo India recently launched the new XC60 in India at Rs 55.90 lakhs. The carmaker is offering the SUV only in one top-of-the-line variant for the Indian market to begin with. We drove it recently and you can read our first drive impressions here. While the deliveries of the car will only start in India next year, here is a picture gallery of the vehicle for you to know all its details.
The new-gen Volvo XC60 is based on the company's latest Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform. It's 4688mm in length, 1902mm in width and 1658mm in height, and gets a wheel base of 2865mm.
The fascia sports Volvo's signature multi-slat chrome grille, flanked by a pair of stylish LED headlights with Thor's hammer LED DRLs. The sculpted front bumper gets a pair of small LED fog lamps as well.
Like the company's flagship XC90, the XC60 gets a bold shoulder line with prominent character lines. The SUV rides on a stylish set of alloy wheels, which give the vehicle a distinct character.
The rear sports a roof-mounted spoiler, vertically stacked LED tail lamps and a beefy rear bumper. Chrome accents along the reflectors and chrome-tipped horizontal dual exhaust pipes add to the bling.
Apart from the new 9.0-inch centre Sensus touchscreen system, the SUV gets driver assist features too. These include a radar-based adaptive cruise control, 360-degree camera, semi-automatic parking, etc.
The highlight in the cabin, however, are the cooled/heated front seats with a massage function. They are, in fact, a segment-first offering.
Powering the Volvo XC60 is a 1,969cc four-cylinder twin-turbocharged diesel mill that churns out 233bhp and 480Nm of torque. It comes mated to an eight-speed Geartronic automatic gearbox.
