New Volvo S60 Cross Country India launch tomorrow

Car fans who attended the Detroit Motor show last year were thrilled to witness the Volvo S60 Cross Country. The cross breed vehicle is due for its official launch in India tomorrow. Apart from wide open tarmac, the Volvo S60 Cross Country has also been designed and developed to tackle rough terrains without much effort.

Under the hood, the 2016 Volvo S60 gets a 2.4-litre D4 engine that puts out 188bhp of power at about 4,250rpm and 400Nm of torque at about 1,750 to 2,500rpm. The Volvo S60 Cross Country features an engine mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It is to be seen if the internationally popular automaker shall introduce a 2.4-litre 5-cylinder diesel engine that is expected to generate about 174bhp of power at 4,000rpm and about 420Nm of torque at 1,500rpm to 3,000rpm. 

The Volvo S60 Cross Country shall be loaded with all modern safety aspects like Antilock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Assistance (EBA), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and Hill Descent Control (HDC). The cross breed vehicle, the Volvo S60 Cross Country, measures about 1899mm in width, 4,638mm in length and 1,539mm in height.
