New Volkswagen Vento has been launched in the country at an introductory price of Rs 8.76 lakhs. Changes to the new model are limited to cosmetic and feature upgrades. The new Vento is now available in flash red colour option, in addition to the existing colour options like the sunset red, reflex silver candy white, carbon steel, lapiz blue and toffee brown.
What’s good about it?
The Volkswagen Vento gets a new GT Line edition that features a black roof, GT Line side foil and fender badge, black ORVM cap and a rear spoiler. The company offers a five-year standard warranty on all diesel cars. Since 1 January 2019, all Volkswagen carlines offer standardized vehicle warranty of up to four-year/100,000 km, four-year free roadside assistance (RSA) and three free services. The Vento now gets the mandatory safety features under AIS 145 norms which includes speed alarm, rear parking sensors, seat belt warning and dual airbags.
What’s not so good?
The new Vento does not get major design changes as compared to its predecessor. Moreover, the updated model misses out on a few convenience features like wireless charging, digital instrument cluster and more.
