The Tata Vista D90 was taken off the production line last month but is being sold till stocks last. Now Tata Motors seems to be working on a new variant of the hatchback dubbed as the Vista Tech. Taking place of the Vista D90, the vehicle will have the same features as seen on the former car but not retain the same turbo geometry type engine.
This means instead of the variable-geometry turbo engine, the new variant will be powered by the fixed-geometry turbo type mill seen on the other Vista variants. The previous model produced 89bhp of power while this one will give a power output of 74bhp.
The Tata Vista Tech is expected to retain the same design as the Vista D90. The instrument cluster will be behind the steering wheel and not integrated in the centre console as seen on the lower variants. The Manza’s interiors are similarly equipped. The Vista Tech should be made available with a touch screen audio system with voice-guided navigation compatible with most media sources like DVD, USB, Bluetooth, aux-in, SD card etc. Insiders say that parking assist sensors will not be available on this variant.
The Vista Tech is likely to be the substitute for the D90 which is lacking in Tata’s portfolio presently. It might get replaced by the Falcon4 hatchback this year and the car has been spied tested several times. The new hatchback is speculated to be a completely new vehicle which Tata might unveil at the Auto Expo in New Delhi next month.
