A new teaser for the Citroen Basalt has revealed not just the major interior upgrades it will get over the C3 Aircross but also the shape of the car has been revealed officially for the first time. In the teaser, you can see three major elements in the interior upgrades the armrests for front and rear occupants and side support for the headrests. As a part of the deal, the rear armrest also gets a phone holder slot.
The teaser has also revealed the Basalt’s look (officially) for the first time and in the images we can see LED DRLs and projector headlamps both of which we expect to come to the C3 Aircross in a short time as a part of planned upgrades.
The Basalt is Citroen’s fourth locally produced model for India as a part of its C-Cube programme. It will be offered with the French automaker’s 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine producing 115bhp/215Nm and mated to either a six-speed MT or a six-speed AT. Its biggest rival will be the ICE Tata Curvv and cars like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder.
