    New Tata Tigor launched - Variants explained

    The new Tata Tigor has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 5.20 lakhs for the petrol variant and goes up all the way to Rs 7.38 lakhs for the top spec diesel variant. The vehicle is available in five petrol and four diesel engine options. The XE, XM, XZ and XZ+ variants are available in petrol as well as diesel variants, while the petrol version additionally gets an XZA variant. Here below are variant highlights for the vehicle –

    Tigor XE

    The entry-level Tigor XE variant gets modest set of features in form of body coloured bumpers, three-dimensional headlamps and crystal inspired LED tail lamp. The chrome humanity line on the front upper grille is standard across all variants. The trim gets standard feature list that includes premium black and grey interior theme, door pockets with bottle holder, gear knob with chrome insert and partial fabric seat upholstery. The standard features lists further include front power outlets and collapsible grab handles. The base variant also gets air conditioning system with heater, tinted glass, driver seat height adjustment and internally adjustable ORVM.

    In terms of safety, the vehicle gets driver and co-driver airbags, immobilizer, driver seat belt reminder and seat belt with pre-tensioners and load limiters as standard. For convenience, the rear seat gets foldable armrest with cup holders. The base variant gets R 13 wheels.  

    Tigor XM

    The Tigor XM additionally gets piano black shark fin antennae, wheel covers and R 14 wheels. As for the interior, over the base variant, the additionally gets piano black AC vent surround and fascia bezel and power windows. As for safety, it additionally gets speed sensitive door locks, central lock with auto-lock feature. The variant gets ConnectNext infotainment system by Harman with Bluetooth connectivity and speed dependent volume control.

    Tigor XZ

    Moving a step ahead the Tigor XZ gets chrome strip on the front lower grille, body coloured chrome-lined door lines, body coloured ORVMs with LED turn indicators and black finish on the B-Pillar. The variant also gets cooled glove box, electrically adjustable ORVMs and one shot down on driver side window. As for safety, the XZ variant gets parking sensor, front fog lamps, day and night IRVM, ABS with EBD and corner stability control.

    Tigor XZ+

    This is the second to top in the petrol version and a top spec version in the diesel variant. In addition to all the featured from the lower variants, the XZ+ additionally offers dual chamber projector headlamps with chrome finish, alloy wheels, chrome on waistline and chrome-ringed fog lights. The variant further gets premium knitted roof liner, a sport mode, electric boot unlocking and rear defoggers.        

    Tigor XZA

    The XZA variant is available as a top spec petrol variant. The variant is offered with features like mid satin chrome finish on AC vent surround and fascia bezel. Moreover, it also gets titanium colour faux leather seats, fully automatic climate control and auto folding ORVMs. The variant further offers boot lamps and key ring illumination, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with voice command recognition through android auto, connectnext app suite, digital control for FATC, and image and video playback.
