Following its online debut last month, the new Superb Estate will soon hit the roads as Skoda has revealed that it will start selling it globally in September. Given the brand’s reputation for making spacious and practical estate cars, a lot rides on the new Superb Estate.
This new model features a 660-litre boot, making it 27-litres bigger compared to the old model. With the rear seats folded down, the boot capacity increases to a massive 1,950-litres. The new Superb Estate gets a range of four-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel engines. The base-spec unit produces 120bhp while the most powerful engine develops 280bhp.
The new Superb Estate will go on sale in select global markets starting September. Despite its history of selling the Octavia Combi back in mid-2000, Skoda India is unlikely to launch the new Superb Estate in India. Instead, the brand will concentrate on the standard Superb which has been doing well in the Indian market.
