- A sportier version of the second-gen Kodiaq
- Gets a customisable interior
Skoda recently unveiled the Kodiaq RS SUV for the global market, a year after the global premiere of the second-generation Kodiaq that it is based on. The RS badge brings in sportier details including cosmetic enhancements and a more powerful turbo-petrol engine. The RS making it to India is unlikely as of yet as the second-gen Kodiaq is yet to be launched here. Let's take a look at its pictures till then.

Appearance-wise, the Kodiaq RS retains the standard Kodiaq model's design, albeit for a few sportier styling cues.
It includes enhancements such as the blacked-out radiator grille, exterior mirror caps, the upper part of the window frames, and the roof rails.
Interestingly, the RS gets an illuminated grille and the SUV rides on 20-inch rims as standard, along with red brake calipers. The Kodiaq RS is offered in eight colour schemes.
Inside, the interior layout of the regular Kodiaq has been retained but it sports an all-black colour scheme with contrast red stitching for exclusivity.
Moreover, customers can opt for the interior in two trims — RS Suedia (Suedia microfiber and leatherette seats) and RS Suite (Leather seats).
A big 13-inch infotainment display sits atop the dashboard, while the vehicle also features a 10-inch digital instrument cluster as standard.
The Kodiaq RS comes with adaptive dampers and offers different modes for suspension and handling. This includes Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Individual, and Snow.
Powertrain
The Kodiaq RS is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol TSI engine that pumps 261bhp and 400Nm of torque. Power is directed to all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The SUV boasts a top speed of 231kmph and can sprint from 0 to 100kmph in 6.3 seconds.
