We already know that Renault India is working on a facelift for the Duster SUV. And now, we can confirm that the new Renault Duster facelift will be launched in India on 8 July. Last month, the mid-SUV was spotted completely undisguised during its high-altitude testing at Zoji La in the Ladakh region. Bookings for the Duster facelift are set to commence soon.
The new Renault Duster will sport changes to its front and rear fascia, and a few updates to its interiors. Up front, there will be a new chrome grille, a set of projector headlamps with LED DRL, and an updated bumper. In profile, it will feature sporty 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, while the rear will feature a redesigned tailgate with black applique and revised bumper. Inside, the car will get an updated MEDIANAV infotainment system and a new trim for the seats.
Powering the new Renault Duster will be the tried and tested 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. The diesel motor will come in the 108bhp guise and Renault is expected to discontinue the 85bhp version. The petrol motor will come either with a five-speed manual or a CVT, while the oil burner will get a six-speed manual as well as Easy-R AMT transmissions.
The new Renault Duster facelift will rival against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and the upcoming Kia Seltos. Expect it to be priced between Rs 8-13.5 lakhs (ex-showroom).
