Porsche is working on a new version of its ultra-luxurious four-door sedan, the Panamera, as seen in the numerous spy shots in the past. This time around, the car has been spotted in Stuttgart, Germany.
Details are scarce at the moment as to what the car will look like and which platform will underpin this new model. Having said that, Porsche is expected to make use of the VW Group’s MSB platform (modular standard architecture) which will result in a significant weight loss over the existing Panamera.
The new Panamera is likely to get significant upgrades underneath with the possible introduction of new 3-litre, twin-turbo, V6 engine replacing the naturally aspirated V8 unit powering the current 4S model.
Porsche is expected to launch the new Panamera later this year or early next year to compete with other ultra-luxurious sedans like the Maserati Quattroporte and the Aston Martin Rapide.
