Post much wait, the new Porsche Macan has officially been launched in India with a fresh set of cosmetic and feature upgrades. The updated model is already on sale in the international markets and it is now available in India in two variants – Macan priced at Rs 69.98 lakhs and the Macan S priced at Rs 85.03 lakhs, both ex-showroom Delhi.
Visually, the new Porsche Macan gets a revised fascia with 3D design element headlamps and the Dynamic Light System
Plus for adaptive lighting. The bumpers have been redesigned for freshness and the rear gets an LED strip that connects the two tail lamps. The vehicle gets a full galvanized body, sideblades in lava black, matt black side window trims, glossy black rood spoiler, two single tailpipes outside left and right with matt silver-colour finish. The Macan is available in a black and white exterior colour option, and black and agate grey interior colour option.
The interior of the five-seat SUV gets a black interior package, premium leather upholstery, smoker package, fabric roof lining, two USB charging and connectivity sockets in the centre console storage compartment and more. The vehicle has a luggage compartment capacity of about 500-litres. The Macan S further lets you expand the load capacity with folded rear seats for a maximum space of 1,500-litres. The interior is available in black and agate grey colour options.
Mechanically, the standard Macan is powered by a turbocharged inline-four 2.0-litre engine that produces a maximum power output of 252bhp and 370Nm of torque. The higher performance-spec version, the Macan S is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine that produces 348bhp and 480Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a seven-speed PDK with manual controls on the steering wheel.
