The new Nissan Qashqai, which is now on sale across Europe, recently made a visit to Euro NCAP’s test facility for some crash tests. Expectedly, the car performed well and passed all stringent tests to record the maximum five-star rating.
Overall, the Qashqai did really well with the passenger compartment having remained stable in the frontal impact. The driver dummy scored maximum points, with good protection of all body regions. Maximum points were also scored in the side barrier test with all parts of the body well protected.
As for the pedestrian, the Qashqai's front bumper scored maximum points for the protection provided to pedestrians' legs. Besides ABS and a plethora of airbags, the Qashqai also features advanced safety aids like driver attention alert, lane departure warning, high beam assist and blind spot warning.
