- The sixth-gen E-Class was revealed in April 2023
- Will be introduced in the LWB form later this year
Mercedes-Benz pulled the covers of the sixth-generation E-Class in April last year. The carmaker is scheduled to introduce the LWB version of this next-gen sedan in the Indian market by the end of the current calendar year.
Ahead of its price reveal, the 2024 E-Class has been spotted completely undisguised at what seems to be the Mercedes-Benz factory in Chakan, Pune. Two units, one each in black and silver, were spotted parked in a yard.
On the design front, the new E-Class will get a new single-slat grille with chrome surround and inserts, new front and rear bumpers, larger LED headlamps and taillights, flush-fitting door handles, and dual-tone alloy wheels.
The interior of the new-gen Mercedes-Benz E-Class will come equipped with the MBUX Superscreen, Level 4 ADAS suite, dual-tone upholstery, active ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, and a Burmester-sourced music system.
Globally, the sixth-gen E-Class is available with six powertrain options. The India-spec car is likely to arrive with 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and diesel engines paired with a mild-hybrid system. Upon launch, this luxury sedan will rival the BMW 5 Series and the Audi A6.
