The new Mercedes B-Class will come later this year. Earlier there were some reports that Mercedes might stop producing the B altogether, but our spy shots clearly prove otherwise.
The overall profile will be left unchanged while the somewhat bumpy design of the current model will be replaced by a straighter and edgier one. Bigger wheels and wider arches will give the new B-Class a sportier appearance. Also new will be a more modern infotainment system as well as an improved connectivity with the smartphone being the heart of audio and navigation systems.
No word yet on the engines that will be offered for the new FWD range, but we don't see the base 1.5-litre diesel or 1.6-litre petrol going anywhere. Mercedes flaunted a huge development budget for its next-gen powertrains, which could result in a brand new 2-litre turbo diesel finding its way under the hood.
