Maruti Suzuki claims that the newly launched Swift already has about 50,000 bookings. The new Swift is bigger in size than the outgoing Swift and has more features as well. The new diesel version on the Swift comes with the ZDi option, which wasn't available on the lower diesel Swift. The company claims to fulfill these orders in the next three months, as they have increased their production capacity from 12,000units to 17,000units a month. About 80 percent of the bookings are for the diesel version of the Swift.
