Maruti Suzuki, the country’s largest automaker, commenced bookings for the new Dzire earlier today. Now, ahead of its launch scheduled to take place next week, the variant details and technical specifications of the updated model have made their way to the web.
Under the hood, the 2024 Maruti Dzire will be powered by the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, Z12E petrol engine paired with five-speed manual and AGS (commonly known as AMT) units. The power output stands at 80bhp and 112Nm of torque.
In terms of variants, customers of the new Dzire will be able to choose from four options, namely LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. Notably, all variants come equipped with the Idle Start-Stop (ISS) system. On the dimensions front, the sub-four-metre sedan measures 3,995mm in length, 1,735mm in width, and 1,525mm in height, while the wheelbase stands at 2,450mm. The model has a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 1,375kg.
Set to rival the likes of the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and the Tata Tigor upon launch on 11 November, the third-gen Dzire will get a segment-first electric sunroof. Elsewhere, it will receive new LED headlamps, fresh grille with horizontal slats, new alloy wheels, all-new LED taillights, automatic cruise control, climate control, blind-spot monitor, and a large freestanding touchscreen infotainment system.
