Maruti Suzuki has finally pulled the covers off the fourth-gen Swift-based new Dzire for the Indian market. The prices of the rival the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and the Tata Tigor will be announced on 11 November. The pre-bookings of the sub-four-metre sedan are currently underway for Rs. 11,000, with deliveries expected to commence shortly after the launch.
Exterior highlights of the 2024 Maruti Dzire include new front and rear bumpers, fresh grille with horizontal slats, new LED headlamps, machined alloy wheels, new LED taillights with triangular-shaped inserts, and a chrome insert for the bootlid.
Inside, the new Dzire will receive a blind-spot monitor, nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-tone upholstery, new three-spoke steering wheel, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, cruise control, and a 360-degree camera. Also up for offer is a segment-first electric sunroof.
The next-gen Dzire is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, Z-Series petrol engine paired with five-speed manual and AMT transmission options. The power output is rated at 80bhp and 112Nm. There is also a CNG version up for offer. Customers can choose from four variants, namely LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+.
