- To be launched on 11 November
- Will be powered by a new 1.2-litre petrol engine
Maruti Suzuki is all set to drive the new-gen Dzire into the country on 11 November. Ahead of its debut, the updated sub-four-metre sedan has begun arriving at local dealerships across the country.
As seen in the images, the 2024 Dzire will get a new blue paint alongside the red colour option. Up front, there will be wide LED headlamps, new grille with horizontal slats, circular fog lights, and a new bumper. Changes to the side profile are limited to a set of new dual-tone alloy wheels, while the derriere boasts new squared LED taillights with triangular graphics, heavily reworked bumper, and chrome insert for the bootlid. There is also a shark-fin antenna and a stop lamp behind the rear windscreen.
A quick peek at the interior of the next-gen Maruti Dzire reveals a large freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, multifunction steering wheel, dual-tone black and beige theme, and new rectangular AC vents. Elsewhere, it is likely to come equipped with cruise control, automatic climate control, electric sunroof, and a blind spot monitor.
Based on the fourth-generation Swift, the new Dzire will source power from the former's 1.2-litre, Z Series petrol engine paired with five-speed manual and AMT units. The power output of 80bhp and 112Nm of torque could be carried over unchanged too. A CNG version is also on the cards, although the launch timeline is yet to be ascertained.
