- Will get a segment-first electric sunroof
- To be powered by a new 1.2-litre Z Series petrol engine
After the debut of the new-gen Swift earlier this year, it was obvious that a significant update for the Dzire would be rolled out too. After a few months of waiting, multiple spy shots, and leaked images, we can finally confirm that the new Dzire will be launched in India on 4 November.
On the design front, the new Dzire will feature fresh front and rear bumpers, new grille with multiple horizontal slats, new LED headlamps and fog lights, new dual-tone alloy wheels, LED taillights with triangular graphics, and a shark-fin antenna.
The interior of the sub-four-metre sedan, according to our sources, will come equipped with an electric sunroof, blind spot monitor, 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, cruise control, dual-tone theme, large freestanding touchscreen unit, and a flat-bottom steering wheel.
Under the hood, the 2024 Dzire is expected to borrow the 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, Z-Series petrol engine from the new-gen Swift. Producing 80bhp and 112Nm of torque, it will send power to the front wheels via five-speed manual or AMT units. A CNG version will also be available, but it remains to be seen if it arrives right at launch or shortly after.
