The Mahindra Thar Roxx finally made its India debut on Independence Day. The five-door version of the Thar is not yet on sale but the prices have been announced. The SUV is priced at Rs. 12.99 lakh for the entry-level variant, however, the top-spec versions don’t have a price tag as of now. In this article, we have detailed all the engine and gearbox combinations available with the new Thar Roxx.
The Mahindra Thar Roxx gets two engine options – a 2.0-litre TGDI petrol and a 2.2-litre CRDI diesel engine. Both motors come mated to a six-speed manual and six-speed torque converter unit as standard across the range. Notably, only the diesel versions get the 4X4 configuration this time unlike the three-door Thar, which had both petrol and diesel engines offered a 4X4 system.
