Mahindra, India's number one utility-vehicle maker has just launched a refreshed range of its flagship SUV, Scorpio. Apart from its face-lifted looks, the new Scorpio has also got quite a few new features. The face lift gives it new multi-reflector headlamps, new fog lamps, 'Scorpio' embossed on side cladding, chunky door handles, integrated rear foot-rest, powered wing mirrors, upgraded bonnet scoop, new front grille and new front bumper.
Two new colours, Mystique Purple and Toreador Red are also offered on the new Scorpio. The new beige interior has got newly designed seats. The new two-din, MP3 audio system is USB as well as SD card compatible. The new Scorpio also now boasts of India's first BS-IV (Bharat Stage IV) compliant engine.
All Scorpio versions will have 2.2 mHawk engine. Scorpio's VLX variant can be bought with optional BS-IV compliant engine in Indian metro cities. Mahindra's Micro-Hybrid technology-based engine will be made available in VLX and M2DI versions. The new Scorpio price starts at 7.21 lakh for LX variant and goes up to 9.2 lakh for VLX versions.
